I have been teaching for over 30 years, all but 3 years here at St. Isidore's. One of my favorite things about being a teacher is being a part of helping children grow toward and/or achieve their goals spiritually, emotionally, and educationally, not only while they are in my classroom, but in the years that follow. Sharing in a student’s ah-ha moment is special gift that I get to experience. The best thing about teaching at St. Isidore’s Catholic school is being able to share my faith with my students, and the amazing staff, students, and families that I get the opportunity to work with.

In the classroom...

Students in fifth grade take part in so many activities in addition to their studies. They take part in the D.A.R.E. program and promote Red Ribbon Week, which educates students on healthy life choices and drug abuse prevention. They also become Alter servers at Mass, perform the "Living Stations" during Lent. They are introduced to band and begin learning their chosen instruments from the Scotus band teacher. They also become members of the Student Council and take part in 4-H Enrichment classes like Leadership Day, Pollinator Palooza, Discovering Careers and We All Live in a Watershed.
